For the sixth year in a row, Kamchatka Territory will host the Sustainable Development Forum, a major interregional convention that traditionally brings together experts from a wide range of industries. The city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky will host the Forum from 17 to 21 February 2026. The business programme features more than 40 events covering three thematic areas: Economy and Investment; Architecture and Integrated Development of Territories; and Tourism and Hospitality.
The 6th Sustainable Development Forum is a network event of the International Tourism Forum ‘Let’s Travel!’ – the most important tourism event in Russia – and one of the main business events in the Russian Far East. Last year’s edition brought together more than one thousand people from 21 regions of Russia and abroad. The Government of Kamchatka Territory has received support in organizing the Forum from the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, and the Roscongress Foundation.
The Architecture and Integrated Development of Territories track will feature panel sessions and roundtables on the exchange of best regional practices in the creation of competence centres, the development of projects for the integrated development of territories, and the implementation of master plans for the development of Far Eastern cities. Special attention will be paid to greening issues in urban development projects. The programme will also focus on the principles of involving residents in territorial development projects and tools for obtaining feedback.
The Tourism and Hospitality track includes more than 20 business events that will focus on the exchange of experience on a wide range of issues, including the development of cruise and off-road tourism, the secrets to successful event tourism, and trends in the development of popular science tourism. The issue of developing the tourism infrastructure – transportation, hotels, and hiking trails – will also receive a good deal of attention. Additionally, several sessions are devoted to current issues in the marketing and promotion of territories and businesses.
Finally, the Economy and Investment track features business events that focus primarily on improving the investment climate in the regions. Topics for discussion include government support for investment activities, the practices of development institutions, strategies for attracting private business investment into the economy and social sphere of municipalities, and other topics.
The programme of events of the 6th Forum of Sustainable Development can be found on the website forumkamchatka.ru. Participation in the Forum is free for registered guests. Forum events will be broadcast live on the official website and covered in partner media publications.
