Moscow has hosted the first meeting of the Organizing Committee of the International Tourism Forum ‘Let’s Travel!’, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko. Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Forum’s Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov, together with Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Vakhrukov, reported on the outcomes of the 2026 Forum, as well as the key tasks involved in preparing for next year’s event.

“For the tourism industry, the International Tourism Forum ‘Let’s Travel!’ is the key public event. Year after year, the Forum grows in the number of participants, exhibitors, international guests, and partners. Its annual venue, VDNH, was no accident. It is the foremost tourist attraction of the Soviet Union, Russia, and the world, as well as a showcase of the country’s achievements in science, industry, culture, and technology. I would like to thank every region, agency, and organization for taking part in the Forum. In drawing up the programme for 2027, it is important to take account of the anniversaries to be marked by the Golden Ring route, Moscow, Kamchatka, as well as the Leningrad Region,” Dmitry Chernyshenko said.

The Deputy Prime Minister asked ministries, agencies, and organizations to consider holding their own events as part of the Forum, to submit proposals for the business and festival programmes, and to begin issuing invitations, including to international partners and participants.

The Organizing Committee has approved the dates and venue: the Forum will run from 10 to 14 June at VDNH, one of Moscow’s principal venues. The business programme opens on 10 June, while 12 June has been designated Youth Day, when the tourism industry will join the Forum in celebrating Russia Day.

“As Russia’s anchor event in the field of tourism, the International Tourism Forum ‘Let’s Travel!’ will once again showcase the achievements of the tourism industry, along with promising avenues for the development of domestic and international travel. Each year, the Forum takes stock of progress under the Tourism Development state programme, approved by a resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation, as well as the Tourism and Hospitality national project, which runs to 2030. The Forum shows steady qualitative growth year on year, with the exhibition displays and festival events expanding in scale, along with the number of participants. This year, some 510,000 people visited over the five days. ‘Let’s Travel!’ has become a firm favourite with Muscovites and visitors from every corner of our country,” Anton Kobyakov noted.

The main components of the 2027 Forum will be the business programme, together with the exhibition and festival displays at VDNH. The focus will fall on the Year of Geography and the 60th anniversary of the Golden Ring, with a Russian Geographical Society festival planned, anniversary themes on the regional stands, as well as fairs of local brands. The programme will also feature interactive areas run by children’s centres, a gastronomy display, and stands from hospitality industry manufacturers. The Forum’s ecosystem will continue to grow through networked industry events, among them the Pacific International Tourism Congress on 23–26 September.

“More than 4,700 delegates from 85 Russian regions and 61 foreign countries took part in the Forum’s business programme this year, a level of representation unmatched in the event’s history. The business programme was built around three strategic blocks: Product, Promotion, and Infrastructure. In doing so, we set out to address strategic objectives, as well as the specific tools that regions and businesses can already put to use today,” Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Vakhrukov stressed.

The Organizing Committee’s work continues apace, with in-depth preparation now under way across every element of the Forum, from the business agenda to the festival activities. Next year’s Forum promises to be a significant industry event and to set important benchmarks for the further development of tourism. The Forum has traditionally served as the principal venue for dialogue between government, business, and travellers, with the business, exhibition, and festival strands of the programme operating as a single mechanism.
