The second meeting of the Organizing Committee for the Preparation and Holding of the International Tourism Forum ‘Let’s Travel!’ was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko. The organizer of the Forum is the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
Participants in the meeting included Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov; Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Inna Svyatenko; Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Vakhrukov; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Pankin; Head of Rosmolodezh Grigory Gurov; and representatives of the Ministries of Science and Higher Education, Education, Natural Resources, Far East Development and Agriculture, the Moscow City Tourism Committee, ANO National Priorities, and other organizations.
Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that the ‘Let’s Travel!’ Forum will be held for the 6th time. In 2026 it will take place from 10 to 14 June at VDNH in Moscow.
“By decree of President Vladimir Putin, 2026 has been declared the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. This is reflected in the main theme of the ‘Let’s Travel!’ Forum: ‘Different cultures – common values: uniting people through travel.’ The business programme will include events devoted to the results of the Tourism and Hospitality national project. In the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, the International Forum will open broad opportunities for tourism, one of the fastest-growing sectors of our economy. I call on partners to actively engage in organizing this major international event, where visitors from Russia and other countries will be presented with the tourism potential of our country,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
Applications for participation have already been submitted by Abkhazia, Venezuela, Uzbekistan, Cuba, and Nicaragua, and confirmation has been received from the Africa Tourism Board. Several other countries have also expressed interest.
In addition, 80 constituent regions of the Russian Federation have already confirmed their participation. The regional programme will include exhibition stands, presentations of investment projects and tourist routes, and the integration of regional agendas into the business programme.
“The ‘Let’s Travel!’ Forum has brought together all regions of Russia and clearly demonstrates how domestic tourism is becoming a driver of territorial development and interregional cooperation. Today the tourism sector is our soft power. In the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, the unifying mission of the Forum becomes especially important: through culture, traditions and international relations it reveals the diversity of our country and strengthens cooperation,” said Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov.
The business programme will cover the full range of topics related to the creation and promotion of tourism products. A number of specialized and related ministries have confirmed their participation in shaping the programme. Active cooperation with the business community is also under way.
“The business programme is based on demonstrating the results of the Tourism and Hospitality national project. It is important to show the impact of the measures implemented, complete the projects already underway and, most importantly, ensure the effective operation of facilities that have already been put into service and developed as tourism products, as well as the promotion of what has been achieved. Particular attention will be paid to enhancing the international appeal of Russia’s regions,” said Dmitry Vakhrukov.
The second meeting of the Organizing Committee marked the transition of Forum preparations into an active implementation phase. A stable international and regional participation framework has been formed, and key elements of the business programme and partnership cooperation have been approved, creating the foundation for a major tourism industry event at VDNH in June 2026.
“For several years Rosmolodezh has taken part in organizing the International Tourism Forum ‘Let’s Travel!’. For example, guides from the ‘Conductors of Meaning’ community within the Rosmolodezh programme entitled ‘More Than a Journey’ lead tours for visitors. Feedback from participants has been exceptionally positive, with a satisfaction rate of 99.8%. This year we expect tours to be conducted for more than 2,500 people, about one thousand more than last year. In addition, together with the Dobro.rf Association we plan to organize a volunteer corps involving between 140 and 180 volunteers daily,” said Head of Rosmolodezh Grigory Gurov.
