Dmitry Chernyshenko invites China to the 2027 “Let’s Travel!” International Tourism Forum

Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko and Zhang Hanhui, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Russian Federation, discussed further partnership in key areas during a work session.

Mr. Chernyshenko noted the meaningful contributions of Chinese representatives at the “Let’s Travel!” International Tourism Forum and invited Sun Yeli, Minister of Culture and Tourism, as well as other Chinese tourism industry representatives and citizens, to take part in the Forum in 2027.

China participated in the 2026 “Let’s Travel!” International Tourism Forum as a guest country.

At the 2026 Forum:

• The Chinese kite festival was held for the first time, and the Living Cultural Heritage of the PRC exhibition opened
• The business programme included the “Russia–China: Dialogue with Tour Operators and Presentation of New Tourism Products” business dialogue
• 10 leading tour operators from China highly appraised the potential of Russian regions on introductory tours
• A delegation led by Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China Lu Yingchuan participated in the 23rd Meeting of the Subcommission on Tourism Cooperation
• As part of the “More Than a Trip” programme, bloggers Cao Zhen and Dou Junjie created content about the Forum and VDNKh, expanding their reach in the PRC
