The 4th Let’s Travel! Russian Tourism Forum will be taking place at Moscow’s VDNH on 12–16 June 2024 as part of Russia EXPO international exhibition and forum, a major event showcasing Russia’s tourism potential, international tourism, and different kinds of travel. It is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation. The Forum is being held with the official support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, National Priorities autonomous non-governmental organization, the Centre for Strategic Research, and leading industry associations.
Great organization and the successful combination of a business programme with a major tourism festival has earned the Let’s Travel! Russian Tourism Forum the status of a tourism sector anchor event, a view voiced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko at an April 2024 meeting of the organizing committee.
The variety of communicative formats included in the business programme make it possible for government representatives and the business community to discuss a wide range of issues related to industry development, stimulating business growth, improving the investment climate, making transport more accessible, and creating more diverse tourist products, among others, over the course of the Forum.
“Tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy, and regional teams play an active role, attracting investment and developing infrastructure, building hotels, multifunctional complexes, ski resorts. The President’s Five Seas and Lake Baikal project is huge and will require an enormous amount of work. We make the most of national ‘Tourism and Hospitality’ project programmes as well as tools from other national projects, first and foremost the SME project, when providing support to the regions and business. Everything we’re doing to develop domestic tourism works equally well for inbound tourism. It is this integrated approach that ensures advanced growth in the industry and increases the share of tourism in the GDP,” Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov noted.
The plenary session, ‘International Co-operation. Russia and the World’, promises to be a highlight of the Forum. It will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko and Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov. In addition to attending the plenary session, the officials plan to explore the street exposition, participate in an all-Russian meeting of regional agencies for tourism development, and be on hand when the winners of the ‘Travel More!’ tourism industry creative arts and ads international competition and the finalists of the “Family Travel!” raffle are announced (seven large families will receive the unique opportunity to take part in a car trip to a Russian region to be announced). Those who would like to attend the Let’s Travel! Forum business programme must register and get a badge: russia.accreditation.ru.
In 2024, parallel events will be held in eight Russia EXPO pavilions with more than 250 speakers taking part in 40 business programme sessions. On 15 and 16 June, 20 Youth Days events will be held with the support of Rosmolodezh. A grandiose street exposition of Russia’s regions with presentations of 11 types of tourism has also been planned. Exhibition stands will line Central and Cosmonauts Alleys. A long-journey car, outfitting, and infrastructure project exhibition awaits visitors in the square next to the Northern Loop.
More than 500,000 guests are expected to join representatives of 20 foreign countries at the Forum over five days, with more than 500 exhibitors from 89 Russian regions participating in the exhibition. Forum organizers have developed a convenient mobile guidebook with essential information for navigating the event and special offers and discounts on travel and tourist services.
