The business programme architecture of the 5th ‘Let’s Travel!’ International Tourism Forum, which will take place at the VDNH in Moscow on 10–15 June 2025, has been released. The three-day Forum will be attended by leading experts and representatives of government agencies, international delegations, and business communities who wish to exchange experience and create new opportunities for the development of the tourism industry. The ‘Let’s Travel!’ International Tourism Forum is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation jointly with the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and with the support of the Russian government.
“The ‘Let’s Travel!’ Forum is a unique opportunity for citizens and guests of our country to discover the beauty and tourism potential of Russia and learn about new routes and destinations. The event will help bring together industry leaders who are ready to find innovative solutions and build long-term partnerships. As part of the business programme, they will discuss the effectiveness of state support measures, the development of tourism infrastructure, and the implementation of the ambitious ‘5 Seas and Lake Baikal’ project of the Tourism and Hospitality national project. To achieve the goals set by President Vladimir Putin, special attention will be paid to the issue of human resources. During the Forum, representatives of business and educational institutions will discuss key educational programmes for the tourism industry,” Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Forum Organizing Committee Dmitry Chernyshenko said.
International tourism is one of the key focuses of the Forum. The discussions will examine key issues concerning the restoration and expansion of global tourist flows with a focus on current trends, innovative technologies and strategies to attract international tourists to Russia, as well as the ways to strengthening Russia as a tourist destination on the world stage.
Other important issues to be addressed include investment in the tourism industry, as well as ways to attract funding for infrastructure, create new tourism facilities, and modernize existing ones. The Forum will provide a unique networking platform for investors, businessmen, and government officials who are interested in supporting the development of tourism in Russia.
“The business programme, which is based on three pillars, specifically international cooperation, investment, and HR strategies, will become a place where ideas and innovations overlap by creating space for real change in the industry. The ‘Let’s Travel!’ Forum has set the ambitious goal of not only restoring and expanding tourist flows, but also to transform approaches to investment, infrastructure, and professional training,” Adviser to the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.
In 2025, a large part of the Forum’s business programme tracks will be devoted to the vocational education and training of skilled professionals for the hotel and tourism business. The Forum partners will discuss key issues concerning HR policy and exchange best practices in creating educational programmes to train specialists who are in high demand.
“Today, the Russian hospitality industry is changing rapidly. And it is the job of government agencies at all levels is to support these changes and meet the industry’s demands. For this reason, the Ministry of Economic Development has focused on the following areas that support the transformation of tourism. A new hotel classification system is being established, and instructors, tour guides, and guides have begun to work according to the new rules. We have created tools to attract large investors and are already implementing dozens of major projects that will begin to receive guests and significantly increase the market capacity in the medium term. There are lots of issues that we need to resolve together with businesses, the regions, and the expert community. Such issues include the training of skilled professionals, the development of infrastructure, the digitalization of the industry, and the creation of products for the international market. And the sidelines of the ‘Let’s Travel!’ Forum are the main platform for this dialogue. We have included all the relevant issues on the programme agenda and will discuss them at the sessions of the business programme,” Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov said.
